With Bing in the Classroom, we’re also teaching kids how to be good digital citizens and empowering them with the skills they need to succeed online.
Technology enables incredible experiences but you have to make sure it is done in a safety-focused manner. That’s why Bing in the Classroom offers all Kindergarten through 12th grade schools in the U.S. the option of tailoring their Bing experience by removing all advertisements from search results, as well as enhancing privacy protection via SafeSearch which filters out adult content from search results at the server level, so students can’t circumvent. In order to maintain a productive atmosphere and keep your students focused on learning Bing in the Classroom also provides daily mini-lessons focused on search literacy, critical thinking using Bing homepage images. Three lessons per day, which are all mapped to the Common Core Standards can be accessed via the Microsoft Educator Network and provide great in classroom projects to help reinforce 21st century skills.
