Windows 8 creates an experience that helps schools improve educational outcomes, bring learning to life for students, and build 21st century skills. Both students and educators can consume and upload data, connect and collaborate, and even create a presentation – all while working from anywhere. With Windows 8, the world is your classroom.

Windows 8 delivers an immersive learning experience that blends work and play that makes education fun.

The classroom will be connected like never before with Windows 8, allowing students and educators to share and interact even when they are outside the classroom. Editing files, class projects, or even photos is even easier with Windows 8 because you can access your SkyDrive anywhere. Students and teachers are able to search the internet while storing their research or even watching a video while simultaneously taking notes in OneNote. From their school desktop, to their smart phone, home laptop or tablet, you and your students will be able to collaborate and connect across all of their devices. Key features of Windows 8 like narrator, speech recognition and magnifier along with ease of access tools and specialized apps improve learning opportunities for students with learning difficulties or disabilities. With Windows 8, “the cloud” is the center of the operating system so students and teachers can easily access their information, collaboration and productivity tools. The ability to access and edit files, class projects, photos, and more from anywhere offers a flexible, anywhere, anytime learning experience across a range of different devices, with both in and out of the classroom.
