Learning activity details

After learning about the different types of angles, the class had to go around the school in search of examples of the angles. Using a tablet/digital camera/smart phone they had to take photos of the angles and then upload them to Dropbox.

At home the children had to download their pictures and open them in Microsoft Paint. They had to show the angles using colour and label the angle. The edited pictures then had to be re-uploaded to Dropbox.

The next step was for the children to insert all their pictures onto a Google Doc Presentation created by the teacher. I chose Google Docs Presentation as it allows all the children access to the one document, allowing them to edit it.

From here, the teacher exported the Google Doc Presentation to Microsoft PowerPoint. Finally the presentation was exported to create a PowerPoint video. The video was posted to the Class Wiki to be viewed.

This task was assessed according to each angle found and labeled. The children had a lot of fun doing this task and applied what they had learnt about angles.
