(The “green Anastasia” chrysanthemum is one of many varieties of “mums” as they’re often called. Because the chrysanthemum’s blooming season spans from September into early November, the flower’s associated with autumn. And in Japan, the mum symbolizes the Imperial House and Throne. The dried blooms have, for centuries, been used for tea in Asia.)
