Utilizing Social Media to Learn About Early US Elections

At Korea International School United States history teacher Brad Evans has his students experiencing early US history in a unique way, through social media. Each of his four US history classes will be debating issues from early presidential elections, as if they were happening today. This means that the candidates (Washington, Jefferson, Burr, Hamilton, Adams, & Madison) will be actively using Twitter, Facebook, and other social media to attempt to win over voters.

Each class has its own hash tag:

  • #kisevansB14
  • #kisevansD14
  • #kisevansE14
  • #kisevansG14
If you would like to follow all of the candidates from the four classes, I have put them into a list. Feel free to challenge the candidates on their issues & beliefs (please use the class hash tag). Tweets from https://twitter.com/stevekatz/evans-us-history
