Microsoft Expert Educators will compete for innovative educators awards during the event thanks to their individual and the “Learn-a-thon” group projects. We realize that a lot of hard work, passion and creativity have gone into those projects. As such it is crucial that the projects will be judged in the most professional and fair way.
Microsoft has sponsored research on measuring innovative teaching and learning, developed by Stanford Research International. And from this research, the 21st Century Learning Design (21CLD) curriculum has been developed, which is a global professional development program for teachers and schools to develop more innovative pedagogies that develop students skills for the 21st Century.
Based on the research terminology and 21CLD curriculum and led by Deirdre Butler from St. Patrick’s College at Dublin University in Ireland, Microsoft has developed the judging scoring methodology and a user friendly Windows 8 app for ease of access.
Throughout the week, they will work on the 21CLD Curriculum and be thoroughly trained on how to use this methodology and the scoring rubric. The judges are all educational professionals from across the globe. Please find attached all your biographies, and take a moment to learn more about them and discuss the questions below:
